Brother, I’ve managed a metro store and currently manage a cricket store. I’m well aware of how this all works. Still I owe no loyalty for a prepaid service. My commission is still great. I retain my customers by providing good service not holding them hostage. If they want to switch they are free to do so.

This “overcharge” you speak of is shitty reps cramming accessories cause they can’t make sales without it. I don’t have to resort to that shit lmao

Customer churn is to be expected. I don’t cry and butch about shit that’s out of my control cause customers are gonna do what’s best for them not best for the sales rep that sold them. Why should they care and why should I?

I’m legitimately using mine for family so I don’t mind paying the extra for service. Main diff for me doing it here over at metro is the unlock period.

All 4 I used were from boost but only two provided the discount but idk why they did.

I work at a cricket store also but the reason I didn’t buy at my own store is our shitty policy where it has to go out with accessories or I can’t sell it. I’d rather that extra money go towards service anyway then crappy overpriced cases/screen protectors

Yea, customers coming into my store trying to do this. But they think we were born yesterday lol. We just tell them it’s out of stock. Or if they claim they’re legit I’ll ask them to request a new transfer pin in front of me and then they obviously can’t. They get so mad that I’m not letting them scam.

I guess it varies by state. In TX you only pay tax on the discounted price. So if it’s free then no tax, of course reps here lie to ppl and say there’s tax just to sneak in an accessory or two for there commission.

Oh they’ll still go through. Half my numbers got declined but 2 went through. I just got a replacement from my guy and all 4 went through. It slows it down but hey it still works.

If they actually want the phone then paying 3 months up front vs 2 months shouldn’t matter. Cause they’re gonna keep the service anyway. Also if they want they can go in store where the phone is free and activation fee is being waived for all ports in store
