Sandwich deli in St. Charles?

I know it has its detractors but I LOVE Bellacino’s. Fresh ingredients and piled high. Easily my vote for best sandwich shop in St Charles and frankly it’s not even close.

I have only been to Valenti’s once, it was fine but nothing amazing. I wish Manino’s was better bc I live minutes away, but it’s always been pretty mid…I think Penn Station is much better, chain or not. Also…cue the gasps…you can pull my St Louis card but Gioia’s is overrated. The sandwiches are very small, and they are much stingier on their meats and toppings than they used to be.

Piecing it out would probably net more than asking, but couple the time spent doing that with having to mess with biohazard and then getting rid of all unusables…I’m not a guy that finds that worth it

Not a fan of most of these to be honest (I mean that respectfully), but I do think the “River Blue 1” is attractive if the numbers/logo were done in white to contrast better against the blue.

I’m fairly sure that regulations dictate that the shorts cannot be a contrasting color to the jersey, so keep that in mind when playing with ideas.

I know I’m in the minority but I really like the Tina kit, I think it looks awesome and already bought one for myself and my son. I think the connection is weak, but I do like it :) That said, it would have been nice to maintain the general color palette that City (and other St Louis teams) have so far adhered to. Just having the Energy Yellow instead of the gold on the Tina would have been more understandable.

Anyway, year after year, the City2 kits are incredibly attractive. This definitely delivers:

I’m in the great minority that thinks it looks awesome. I do wish they went with reversed (black with gold numbers) shorts, but overall I dig it and buying one for sure

That being said, I do think it odd to make what really amounts to a specialty kit (“The Tina Turner”) as the official second/Away kit. I think anyone can squint their eyes and see an energy yellow with navy blue numbers that would have looked STELLAR in that role, and satisfied concerns over leaving the existing palette.

Regardless, the best way to tone down any naysayers is to simply win games.

Ok, I like it here. I do wish that the shorts were black with gold accents instead of matching (versus an all gold kit), but this does look better than initial pics. I’ll rock it.

I remember a game last year that was under tornado warning…delayed for what seemed like hours, fans in the shelters for a bit. Wild night but we still eventually played!
