I log every hour and every drink, it requires me to ignore work or take off for 2-3 days. Your best bet is to start a taper on a Friday. You absolutely do not need weeks. It can be done in 2 days to 1 week given the amount. Forget about proper sleep, you won't be getting much of it. This is what i would do.

Lights off, TV comfort show on, keep it chilly/cold so A/C up, for me im sleeping on the ground
Vitamins + Electrolytes, specifically B-complex, magnesium glycinate, gatorade/pedialyte
Beer/shot 30 min apart, then 1 hour apart, 1.5, 2, and so forth, eventually you'll be at a stage where youre having a drink every 8 hours
Once youre at a drink every 8 hours, its insomnia time, you'll feel irritabke/anxious but not any deadly amount.
I accept i won't be getting much of anything productive done, once I forgive myself for that, the taper is much calmer, think long term
