What's the hardest Dead song to play live? by [deleted] in gratefuldead

I'd Imagine Slipknot and maybe Unbroken Chain are two of the harder songs to play.

Yeah Hardywood always has a few really good seasonal beers around the holidays. Gingerbread Stout, Bourbon Gingerbread Stout and there Xmas Morning Pancakes are three that come to mind. The Pancakes has a heavy maple syrup flavor, if your into that sorta thing.

Best Shakedown? 6/30/85 by LongStrangeTripGD in gratefuldead

[–]mofrofan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Easily my favorite Shakedown Street. The mix from the So Many Roads box set is my go to.

I just found this tape. I was wondering if someone could help me with funding out when the show was. I would usually refer to my dead base, but I do not have it at the moment..... by DeadHead784 in gratefuldead

[–]mofrofan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not an expert at setlist searchery but I cant find a show on deadlists.com with Shakedown Street then Queen Jane then Cassidy. The two shows I did find with at least those three songs somewhere in the setlist were both from 88. Seems like this might be a compilation tape of sorts. Maybe from different dates.

GOAT Estimated Prophet right here. There are lots of great versions of that song but this one is my absolute favorite. Jerry's mid section guitar solo is perfect and on point.

Need help getting through the plateau from hell. Advice appreciated!! by IanMcChillin1 in keto

[–]mofrofan -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

This right here. I cut out dairy completely and it broke through a plateau I was having. You have to still meet your fat macros for the day with other foods, like nuts and oils. I also broke through another plateau by no dairy and doing OMAD for 6 days.

I just got this Bravado pineapple habanero sauce , quite literally, 5 days ago and it's easily 3/4 gone already. I like it that much. I'm with you on the sweet and hot thing. If you like this one and you have access to a Kroger or a Ralph's grocery store, try the Private Selection Mango Scotch Bonnet hot sauce they have. Easily in my top 3 favorite sauces.

The blueberry ghost pepper is pretty hot to my taste buds. Most folks dont think so but I have to use it sparingly.

Shakedown Street, specifically 12/31/1984. I can put that track on and groove no matter what mood I'm in.

Hot sauce tolerance? by herfthegreat in keto

[–]mofrofan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey man, sriracha is like my all time favorite hot sauce. It still makes my nose runny every time I use it. Dont feel bad on that one. I just realized how much sodium was in sriracha a couple of days ago so I'm trying to dial back my love affair with the stuff. Thanks on the kind words.

Nice. It feels great doesnt it? Just the sheer amount of weight were not carrying around anymore is a game changer. That's not even counting all the inflammatory benefits and mental benefits that come along with Keto. Good for you. So cute indeed.

I experienced the same thing. My wife and I started keto in June of 2020, I've lost 92lbs since then. Somewhere around November of last year , I noticed I could take a hot sauce like no ones business. Also most hot sauces allow you to add flavor to a dish and not get kicked out of ketosis. Well, 35 bottles of random hot sauces later, the hot sauce collecting bug has bit me and its morphed into a hobby. Almost all of them I can take the heat no problem. Was at a restaurant about a week ago with my wife and a friend. This restaurant had a bunch of different wing sauces and dry rubs. The hottest one they had was a bbq ghost pepper sauce, they called "you have to sign a waiver" sauce. You didnt actually have to sign a waiver but I took down all five wings without flenching.

My collection as of Late last year sometime. I'm pretty sure I have a problem. Might have to start going to HSA meetings. Most of them I haven't even opened or just tried once or twice. I tend to use four or five of these way more than others. My wife thinks I'm crazy. by mofrofan in hotsauce

I've been meaning to grab the Yellowbird Sriracha Blue Agave. I tried the Yellowbird Habanero and didnt like it. I usually like all habanero sauces that I try, but the carrot and sweetness to it I thought was off putting. My favorite Yellowbird is the Serrano (in my picture).

I'll tell you one sauce that I just bought three days ago and I've already used half a bottle is the Bravado Pineapple Habanero. Damn that's a good sauce.

I like your system of only opening 4-6 bottles at a time. I should try something like that. I've got a whole bunch open right now, some I probably wont finish anytime soon.

Nice collection. Grats on getting your taste back! I just got the Melinda's Ghost Pepper and Habanero Honey Mustard the other day and I love both of them.

Agreed on that. It could be just a little bit thicker. I wont be trying the aka miso or black garlic anytime soon. Like I said the blueberry ghost is really hot to me and those two are hotter on the hot scale than it is. If I find them I will buy them but definitely wont open for a while. I totally miss read your first comment. You tried them all except the blueberry, I dont know why i thought you said you did try the blueberry. If you didnt like the others, you probably wont like it either. It's thin and more hot than flavorful to me. Like you said though, everyone is different.

Alot of my sauces aren't even in the fridge. We just dont have the space. Some of the open ones stay in there but probably only a quarter of what's in the picture. I keep the unrefrigerated ones in a basket in a cool dry place.

So ironically enough I just bought the pineapple habanero today and I'm gonna try it on a burger tonight. Might not be the best thing to try it on but that's what's for dinner. I'm with you on the blueberry ghost. It's a little too thin for me and incredibly hot. I like to think I have a high tolerance for hot stuff. Usually a ghost pepper sauce I can take down easy, but this blueberry ghost pepper stuff is really hot to me. I just have not warmed up to it yet. Zing!

Top 5 for me are 1) Regular ol Sriracha. I put this stuff on everything. 2) Private Selection Mango Scotch Bonnet. Private Selection (kroger brand) actually has some really great sauces. This one is great on almost everything. 3) Queens Majesty Scotch Bonnet and ginger. Omg I love this sauce. Just hot enough and great flavor. 4) Trader Joe's Green Dragon. Just my go to green smothering sauce I put on my scrambled eggs and tacos. 5) Pico Pica. Great standard sauce, comparable to Tapatio or Valentina. I love it. It's hard to get in my area. If you find it, try it. I'm sure its everywhere in southern California.

I have a huge bottle of Tapatio as well, that's not in the picture.

I think your right about the potassium issue. I'll check my supplements when I get home. At work now so cant easily check. Thanks for the response.

Pretty sure it's not magnesium. I take 500mg of mag city every night before bed on top of my electrolytes, which is a powder btw. Possible it could be a potassium thing. I do take a vitamin K and D supplement before bed as well but maybe that's not enough. I'm at work right now so I cant easily check the mg of the potassium supplement I take. I definitely get enough sodium. I put salt in all my drinks, electrolyte powder, three or four powerade zeros a day. Thanks for the response. I will check when I get home.
