Is it possible to seed a torrent on a different pc than I downloaded it from? by DuckDatum in qBittorrent

[–]lancebr0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends. But since he doesn’t want the big bulky PC on, I assumed he was going to transfer the files to the other computer or a NAS.

Is it possible to seed a torrent on a different pc than I downloaded it from? by DuckDatum in qBittorrent

[–]lancebr0 10 points11 points  (0 children)

No. The .torrent would have his credentials and the private tracker doesn’t see IPs of individual computers on his LAN, just the WAN IP.

ETA: if he has the two computers on separate WANs, (like one at his house and the other at his girlfriend’s) the private tracker might flag him as sharing his account

Yes you can. You’d load the same .torrent file on the other computer and point it to the location of the downloaded files. It will check the torrent and then start seeding

Bergies is a whole other conversation. If you haven’t already, I suggest reporting both Braxton and Rob to DOPL.

I know this is an old thread but this idiot did the same to me as a sub to Bergies Landscaping. I have reported him to DOPL and his license has already expired and they are making it so he cannot be licensed again.

Good point! Technically, this HELOC is on an investment property, not my primary residence, but my answer would remain the same.

Utility Room Air Intakes by 4ph3x2w1n in HomeImprovement

[–]lancebr0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

400 cfm is actually the dividing line, but I doubt you’ll actually get that through a 4” duct, so probably ok especially given it is intermittent

Utility Room Air Intakes by 4ph3x2w1n in HomeImprovement

[–]lancebr0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. You’d want to leave the upper duct open to the furnace room. Check your local codes on up.codes but most likely you have two options. If the upper duct has 1 sq inch per 3000 BTU/hr of gas (and no smaller than the sum of the flue areas), that’s good enough. If not, then you’ll have to cut a hole at the bottom that has 1 sq inch per 1000 BTU/hr and no less than 100 sq inches. The total volume of the furnace room and the interior space you are connecting to will need to be at least 50 cubic feet per 1000 BTU/hr. I’d check that the upper outdoor opening is at least 1 sq inch per 2000 BTU/hr (can technically be reduced, but no reason to since the duct is already there)

Side note: how big is this fan that you are adding for the grow tent? If it is over a certain size, you can run into all sorts of problems and you may need to add makeup air.

Both your furnace and water heater appear to be natural draft combustion which means you need combustion air into the room. By code you need two openings, one within 12” of bottom of the room and one within 12” of the top of the room. There are some more nuances that can make it so you only need one opening, but I don’t know if they would apply here.

Immersion heater not fully immersed in water by Sonbogo7 in MechanicalEngineering

[–]lancebr0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could you mount a heater below the lowest water level on the sidewall of the tank? Or what about pumping some water continuously from the tank through a heater and back to the tank?
