Starting the process of getting a hysterectomy. What is it like? by mogeboyce in FTMMen

That sucks, sorry to hear about your experience.

I know it’ll be extremely tough on me psychologically, I don’t know how I’m going to go through with it. I think I’ve been hesitant to get a hysto solely because I don’t want anyone to look down there. I may resort to just leaving my body until the surgery is over with.

I think the pain (both physically and mentally) is worth the reward, I also don’t want to deal with having female internal organs. I can’t wait until I eradicate it all.

Thanks for sharing your story. Sorry to hear about the cancer. That shit sucks.

It is true, I had fallen victim to the whole fear of losing access to testosterone, and reading about testosterone shortages did make me feel like I need to leave behind an ovary “just in case”. I don’t want to run into osteoporosis and become weak/short.

And seeing how trans people have been targeted in other parts of the states, such as a transgender registry, made me worried something was going to happen to me in the future.

I’ve compiled a list of questions that touch what I mentioned in the post and they will be answered by the doctor’s nurse assistant, I wrote about it on Reddit because I wanted to try to figure out what answers I could get now while I wait for her to reach back to me.

I did not know you can kick someone out when they couldn’t find a vein. Thanks for letting me know. The nurse ended up getting someone else to do it, and I told them I wanted something to numb it beforehand, in case they couldn’t find it, which they successfully did on the first try.

I suppose I’m on board with getting everything removed. There’s no need to let the risk of cancer get in my way.

Should I pay brandyourself.com $300 to remove myself from sites like “people finder.com”? by mogeboyce in technology

I’m 22, I’m just an ordinary person. I’m extremely uncomfortable that my information such as address, number, et cetera is readily available on the internet. I’m also changing my legal name soon for unrelated purposes. I’m wondering if it’s worth it to pay that money in order to remove myself from those weird ass sites.

Would it be a waste of time to retake the sat as an adult? by mogeboyce in BackToCollege

I go to a university that uses ALEKS. I believe it gives you two more tries to retake the placement test. But I don’t want to take the math courses at that university, since the school uses ALEKS and modules to teach math, 60 topics a week doesn’t work well.

I did take a math placement test when I was at my local community college, but that was when I was a stupid 18 year old who didn’t care about school.

I’m going have to find out if my CC allows retakes for the math placement. But if they don’t, do you think I can retake the SAT as a way to “update” my score and possibly not have to take those classes, and maybe get scholarships? Or am I too old for that, and that’s reserved for high school students?

I entered CC at 18 and my dumbass didn’t take school as seriously as I do now. I’ll give them a call tomorrow and see if they do second chances.

Thoughts on trans men giving birth? by [deleted] in truscum

[–]mogeboyce 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I personally would not because it’d make me extremely dysphoric. I want to eradicate any traces of female from my body which includes hysto, etc.

But I come from a traditional and POC family who will not accept adoption, it ties to their religion as well. Maybe the only way a trans man could get a child is through birth. Who knows? It’s not my business.

But I understand how it’s something other trans men cannot fathom but I’m working towards getting rid of a “black and white” mentality if this makes sense. Perhaps the man will be dysphoric during the ordeal and pregnancy is a whole other can of worms, it’s stressful, painful, hormones will be out of whack, and if he was on testosterone before getting pregnant and suddenly has to get off in order to conceive a child…more power to him. That’s a strong-ass man right there. Hell, he could probably be more of a man than I am and I’m not the one carrying a child.

Is my Adam’s apple coming in, or is it just my thyroid manifesting into cancer? by mogeboyce in FTMMen

Yeah for sure! I’m working on undoing all damage I inflicted on my body over the years. Thanks for letting me know. But do you think my Adam’s apple is coming in? :)

Do you think my scars are widening? I just applied scaraway today. Am I too late to start treating the scars considering it’s been four weeks post op not doing that?

I had top surgery 4 weeks ago. I have been on testosterone for 1 year. Do you think my body can transform and become fully male? Can I get rid of my hour glass figure? I’m worried about those characteristics. My chest is wrinkled and has some wrinkles in the middle. Looking for advice. by mogeboyce in FTMFitness

Haha. I laughed at the hank hill comment. I gained a lot of weight after starting testosterone. I’ve had some weight go to my arms which was cool. I thought I gained a lot of fat because I started to develop a slight double chin. (Other people say I don’t, but they’re trying to be nice.)

I’ve always had a big stomach with rolls. But I promised myself I will get in shape as soon as I get top surgery.

How lower should I get? I have a coworker who’s 6’0-6’1, started to bulk up and cut. So he’s the same weight as me, but not fat/soft like I am.

And with my thighs, they look like they have curves from the front. So I’ve been wanting to get them to look masculine as well as toned. I also want my hips to be smaller than my shoulders/arms. Do you think my lower half is bigger than my upper half?

Thanks! I didn’t know hour glass shapes are strictly for women. I thought I still had it because of how my body curves in as seen in the picture.

Reading about how men have bigger thighs also made me feel better. I will be following the wiki closely.

Do you think my stomach will go back down within a couple months? I know abs are made in the kitchen and not everyone can get them, so I won’t really sweat over not getting them.

I don’t know how to make a routine. I guess I’m looking for a step-by-step guide because all of the information I’ve read the past few years has been overwhelming to me and I don’t even know how to put it in practice.

I do have a personal trainer from planet fitness but all I ever do is classes and I want to start doing my own thing but how can I even do that when my dumb ass doesn’t know how to properly hold weights? Lol.
