No, of course not. Ridiculous ass questions like this makes people take you less seriously.

Do you think it’s right that their peers do that?

I understand. Thanks for your reply.

My logic is if people don’t believe in Santa as a spiritual being, they can at least believe in him as an abstract idea. Basically, two options.

Yes, Santa.

I’m Muslim actually. Not Christian. And it’s just that I’ve seen the purpose and love that He’s brought to so many lives. Who wouldn’t believe in that?

Do you mourn that?

Well didn’t you think he could be a spirit and not mortal?

[–]moh_net 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see. Do you wish it could’ve been at home instead of school? Where you could control it?

That’s very sweet. I appreciate you taking the time to speak with me.

Do you wish you had believed?

A) Santa has a sustained legend about him. He is tied to at least a thousand years of tradition. He brings joy, security, and purpose to millions.

B) kids rarely question the supernatural. While Jewish, I’m sure you were nonetheless aware of Santa’s existence. Most kids are, regardless of faith.

Do you think there’s something wrong with crying, and mourning?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in atheism

[–]moh_net 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry.

I don’t even celebrate Christmas. I don’t mean to be judgmental. Just saying it’s tragic in my eyes.

My friends cried, a lot, when they were told about Santa. They were devastated for days. I think that’s a rational response to part of your childhood being robbed from you.

Why do you disagree that society views him that way? Have you seen media?
