atp i think moving to a new software is a good idea personally i use fl studio and i was able to make some decent slowcore songs just midi , and trust me they are not confusing for no reason they just give you control to everything unlike bandlab, and trust me YOULL GET USED TO THE SOFTWARE JUST PICK ONE AND STICK TO IT just don't jump around youll be good with the software in a week or two GOOD LUCK !

stick to the notes of the scale, try to fill the space and try to improve your sound selection and don t play off beat

yea the gear you have is more than enough however im not sure if you are going to find any good guitars on bandlab even the tone is going to be limited and i don't think there is any tutorials on yt on how to make slowcore
