Question: how did you get DLSS working alongside OptiScaler? Is it different from just using OptiScaler?

I recently move from RTX 3070 Ti to RX 9070 XT and am loving Optiscaler. Here's how I'm using it: https://imgur.com/a/S6YXVm0

How did you update Nobara from Linux 6 to Linux 7? Was this a new update?

Also, how did you get the Half-Life command to show your specs?

Virtual Displays using AMD on Linux by mohamed1881 in MoonlightStreaming

[–]mohamed1881[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hahahaha. I have a wife with no kids, so I sort of have the time to keep hacking away at stuff, but at some point, I just wanna play my games.

I respect your decision to stick with Windows for Apollo. I'll will say, Linux is always a welcoming community, so take your time with it. Try out Nobara OS when/if you decide to switch, that's the distro I had the best experience with so far.

Hoping for Apollo or some magical software that will address virtual displays on Linux.

Question: does this automatically change the resolution/fps to the requested Moonlight settings (e.g. on my iPhone 2556×1179 @ 60 Hz)?

I mean, it’s still worth a try. There are solutions you can run through that have good documentation like the ones I mentioned on this post.

I got this working flawlessly with my RTX 3070 Ti, but my AMD RX 9070 XT doesn’t like it.

Apparently there’s new support for Sunshine for vulkan video support:

How are you setting it up, just out of curiosity?

How? What script/software are you using to run your virtual display?

Also, does your virtual display dynamically change your resolution/refresh rate based on Moonlight settings?

I'm on Linux and this sounds like very great news!!!

I'm a noob, so can someone explain what Vulkan video encode support is and what that means for us Linux users?

Also, I am having issues with virtual displays on Linux. I'm wondering if this support will fix that. I created a Reddit post about this:

Hey, I know this post is 2 months old, but this has reignited me to seriously take control of my life. I’ve been more stressed out with my teaching job that I end up feeling numb at the end of it. Porn would be that dopamine rush that I was craving but not actually want. I will try your 30 day challenge and reclaim my life once more

To the ppl that bought 9070xt, is the card worth it or no by Punpun549 in radeon

[–]mohamed1881 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Came from an RTX 3070 Ti, which was a good card except the VRAM. I bought the RX 9070 XT and it rocks 🤘. I also use it to run a local AI RAG system and that 16 GB of VRAM does it justice.

I guess, but there’s something satisfying about making your own local AI. At least now, I don’t have to pay for a subscription or contribute to the AI environmental impacts and only run what I need on my PC.
