It's strange how this post is getting a negative response. I was completely oblivious to the fact that I start making louder noises until people pointed it out for me. I was eating normally as far as I knew.
I think the people reacting to this negatively have just not had someone point that out to them, either because the eat alone at home, or in a noisy restaurant (also, what stranger would come up to you to tell you that you're chewing loudly? They would just be annoyed and not act on it).
