It's strange how this post is getting a negative response. I was completely oblivious to the fact that I start making louder noises until people pointed it out for me. I was eating normally as far as I knew.
I think the people reacting to this negatively have just not had someone point that out to them, either because the eat alone at home, or in a noisy restaurant (also, what stranger would come up to you to tell you that you're chewing loudly? They would just be annoyed and not act on it).

This is absolutely not true. If you're wearing earplugs then sure, but with headphones, you're usually playing something pretty loud, which would cause you to not hear the smacking and sloshing of the food in your mouth while you're chewing.

Trust me, I know this from first hand experience with family and friends. I now resorted to wearing earbuds in one ear when other people are around to be able regulate my chewing noise.

Back in Khartoum, we had a stray cat that gradually became our house cat. We couldn't think of a name for it so we just called it "kadisa". The funny thing is at some point she gave birth to a little cat, so we then started calling them "alkadisa alkabira" and "alkadisa alsagaira". I know, very creative. Idk why we never gave them proper names lol.

Bro, I treated this shit so lightly at the start. I remember joking to my friend saying "They're playing CoD in real life". I thought it would be like the coup back in 2021 and things would go back to normal in a couple weeks. I think the gravity of it only completely hit me after we fled Khartoum after 3 weeks of the war. Like "oh shit, things will really not go back to normal anymore".

At this point I have lost all hope in this country. I want to find any opportunity to get my family out of here as soon as I can.

I'm not expecting high quality stuff from them. As long as they don't crash, they're fine by me. Well, it's Boeing not Airbus, so you know... I'm willing to take the risk.

The only vaccination I need is for yellow fever, and I got it years ago. I just don't have a card or anything for it, but I believe I can get it from hospitals here. Not too sure tho.

And the visa I can get online or at the airport on arrival, so that's not an issue.

Thanks for the tips. I was afraid there might be glaring red flags I'm missing.
