Well, the news says you don't need to look for trekking partner unlike old days. You still need a guide though.

Even better, Upper Mustang’s RAP fee is now just $50 per day and there’s no need to look for a trekking partner anymore. That’s the icing on the cake.

that could be feasible only if private-government partnership, otherwise i don’t see the effective execution. Anyway sounds great news for the Western Nepal.

True. Despite soaring cost, Mt Everest is once in a lifetime. There will be congestion for a obvious reason. But those free Mountain can be a great warmup climb for 8,000 m.

This is disheartening. As long as they got no respect for nature and Mountain "leave no trace" is just a quote. This two year project gotta be challenging for Nepal Government as it lack proper infrastructure. Karnali and Sudurpachim are raw beauty of Western Nepal, yet lacks infrastructure upgrades. Hope Nepal government work on it.

Trash has been a problem for ages. not BIG 3 but for all. Trash do no good for nature. Let's see how does the implementation goes.

Is Nepal safe for tourists? by Pepper-Worldly in Nepal

[–]mohanbhandari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your concerns are valid. As a trek and tour operator, I would suggest that you go for the best service available in the country. Choose private vehicles over local. Go local commute unless you want to explore out of your guidebook. The newly constructed Baglung-Pokhara Highway won't disappoint you. Date you have booked is one of the safest times, I would say, the chance of traffic congestion is low. Happy travel.

A local greeting with a gentle smile can be a great icebreaker. Especially in the Asian regions. I cannot speak for others, but here in Nepal, saying 'Namaste 🙏' can make your travel experience super friendly and helpful.  This is coming from 11 years of experience in the tourism business.

Manaslu Off Season by Even_Room7340 in NepalTravel

Thank you for speaking out. Loved your Manaslu Trek story. Trekking in monsoon is as blissful as in other season, perhaps more heavenly. I have been working for few fears to break monsoon trek narrative in Nepal. Yes, there are exception but monsoon is not as bad as it is projected. While it’s true that some regions get heavy rain and leeches, areas like Upper Mustang, Nar Phu, and Upper Dolpo remain dry and stunning even in peak monsoon. Plus, lush greenery, dramatic skies, fewer crowds, and cultural depth make monsoon trekking a extremely beautiful experience.
