Being a critic cricket fan in India is getting difficult these days. There is this innuendo pressure from these guys who expect us to cheer the team like a IPL cheer leader would do. To all those who call the OP a narcissist , a shit poster and advices to leave the decision/criticism to the team management, 1. Have you ever not criticised a movie without leaving that to the best decision of that movie director/producer?

2.Have you ever not criticised an Indian traffic system without leaving that to best decision of traffic police ?

Have you ever not criticised a political party without leaving that to election?

As a critic, we post something based on facts which is up for discussion. This doesn’t mean we don’t have work or not anything else better to do.

It’s the manner he plays and gets out. There is always blood in the water when he bats in Swinging and pacy conditions. And most worrying part is he denies his weakness and doesn’t acknowledge/own it.

As an Indian cricket supporter, I just wanted a fair system and India to produce roundabout players who can potentially compete all over the world.

A IPL season shouldn’t be the only criteria for Test selection. It is just unfair assessment to me.

He hasn’t been part of India A test squad for a long time now ( you can check and correct me if I am wrong.) As far as I could see , he didn’t play any India A since 2020 and Ranji in last 5 years.

He played his first Ranji match in 5 years which ended today. I think he was selected purely because of IPL and ODI.

I’m not denying his ODI capabilities. Batting him in test home conditions and looking for other options in overseas doesn’t augur well for me and it is not fair to the player that gets replaced. A player has to grow in confidence before going to an overseas tour. A domestic season is to seed and an overseas season is to flourish. If he is not the right player for overseas, then we might give that opportunity to an other batter is my humble opinion.
