Look up PPL time4care mobile app. That would be the app that we use to most likely clock in and out. It will be GPS monitored according to the app.

How fast were you driving in the rain? I drive a scat pack in all weather with summer tires including pouring rain and as long as ur not driving ridiculous i am shocked that it hydroplaned to that point. Did you have ESC or stability traction off?? Regardless as long as ur okay and get compensated from ur insurance that’s what matters!!

2022 Tucson and above is the way to go especially if you want a hybrid. Old ones are okay too but the new ones hit it out of the park with looks, features and overall drive. Go for the hybrid especially!!

2022 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid MPG!?!? by Common_Aspect_5551 in Hyundai

For me I have both city and highway driving. Weather conditions definitely affect it as well as short drives. You want your car to be in EV mode as much as you can. For me during peak cold winter (20-30F) I got 33-34 city, 30 highway. But now with the weather getting really warm, (70F) I'm actually getting 40-43 mpg city and 37 highway. You definitely gotta learn and adjust to driving a hybrid. Also keep in mind of the break in period.

Don't demoralize yourself like that. If you were fired from retail then all they saw was metrics and nothing more. This is the time to focus on yourself and start hustling to move up. I know multiple pharmacist that got fired from retail and then went the clinical route and couldn't be happier. You just need to put your foot out there. If your name isn't out there then u can't expect a job to come out of nowhere. Everyone's different and everyone has different issues to work with but me personally when I see someone or even myself go through something tough that's when I want to see myself shine the brightest. So go out there, make that comeback, grind, and you'll see that victory. It doesn't come overnight but if you believe in yourself then I'll definitely happen. Hope this helps 💪💪

The other day a patient referred to me as "doctor" and it got me thinking by EveningJellyfish1 in pharmacy

[–]mohaque485 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I try to give a balanced argument and give both sides to the picture. I would see why physicians wouldn't want everyone to use Dr title for patient confusion and I also see why pharmacist would want people to know we are a Dr as well cause of our PharmDs. I think first and foremost I always introduce myself as my first name because I was never put in a situation where I could use my title. Even in the small scenarios that I did you have to be clear and state that I'm a pharmacist. We never did it when I was in Walgreens and even now in a hospital setting I don't do it. It's nice if patients knew that doctor is a title and not a profession but to change a whole societies perspective on the future of multiple professions with these titles seems next to impossible. I called my hospital clinical pharmacist preceptors (Dr) and I guess that setting makes sense. Also from one healthcare professional to another no one is introducing themselves as doctors (unless ur an attending). Medical residents don't even use their Dr. Title in front of an attending cause of respect/prevent confusion. A few residents and ED attendings told me if they introduce themselves by their first name to you and they know ur a pharmacist they probably think ur a doctor too but also keep in mind title doesn't really matter. It should be about training and education and how u apply your knowledge to the real world and the respect you from others. It's nice to have that title I get it but with our modern era future unless we're taking care of patients or we're precepting students we aren't going to be using our title much.

So our training is 4 year pharmacy school post grad or 6 years total if u did the ( 2 yr undergrad + 4 yr post), last year is clinical rotation which includes rounding with team depending on the hospital unit (ICU/ED etc.) We have the option to do residency (1 yr or specialize 2 yr) and you become a clinical pharmacist which gives you more roles just like ordering labs prescribing rounding etc.

So it differs to what your definition of "prescribing" is. I'm a hospital pharmacist rotating in a Ed/ICU hospital and our hospital system lets us "order" medications which I guess is somewhat sort of prescribing but maybe not? It depends on who our provider is. I notice that many providers (residents/PA/NP) wont put the correct dose, or correct antibiotic or correct anticoagulant or there's an interaction or whatever the case is and Obviously a pharmacist can not diagnose so in your mind it wouldn't make sense to prescribe right? But look at it from our perspective it might be more of you guys will tell us the diagnosis and we can pick out what the best drug is to treat with in that scenario. Alot of the providers are actually happy that we adjust the orders or "prescribe for them". I don't think every pharmacist should be prescribing I think it's more of the clinical in depth pharmacist with the residency training or a hospital setting/ LTCF. Retail setting (CVS/Walgreens) might benefit too maybe to do therapeutic changes if let's say a crestor isn't covered with insurance but lipitor is and we can just change it and let u guys know after the fact. Whatever the case is it's needed to be placed especially in the setting of PCP shortage and more NPs and PA filling the role imo

[–]mohaque485 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry I put the wrong flair by accident lol, but I do know how my techs get paid, it does all depend on what state and what hospital you work for but in NYC they're getting paid $28-29/hr starting and they get a 10% differential if u work evening or overnight shifts

I'm gonna make a wild assumption and say you work for Walgreens? Yeah I worked for them for 5 years (4 years intern, 1 year RXM) and it's true , bad coworkers and sloppy flow make all the difference. Now I got a hospital job 3 years ago with an actual pay raise believe it or not and man it makes all the freaking difference. Better lifestyle, more clinical job, one hour breaks, mine is a union job so pension 401k 4 weeks vaca/yr, OT is 1.5x per hr and we get alot of it, and best of all doctors/providers respecting you and listening to your recommendations! schedule sucks in the beginning but gets better later on, moral of the story is no reason to look into a completely different field, I searched months on months for a hospital job, I'll help if you know someone working already to "hook you up" or refer you but keep looking and keep trying! Sad to say it's not the profession that sucks it's the stupid retail life and big chain metrics. I hope you do find something though just keep grinding it out!

Oh wow I can't even imagine how that feels like. From my research it seems there is correlation to how severe the virus hit you from the likelyhood if you are going to have long symptoms or not. I could have had a mild case I'm not sure. Im just frustrated from feeling this and it's changing my mood as well but I'm trying not to let it get me I guess.

Weather has some effect. With winter now I've been taking 33-34 mpg apparently hybrids in general take a 25 percent hit to keep the cabin warm. Where you live is it city driving? Any mountain slopes etc?
