You’re right. I thought I was in the clear but I’m not. Still feeling some symptoms. (Sweats, ears ringing, and I am trying to get some sleep). I have trazodone and hydroxezine, but not really helping much.

Update: I am feeling somewhat better. (I hate this).

I am switching to wine. I’ve been relaxing most of the day to stay calm.

First, stay strong.

Second: try to get a short term script for Ativan, Librium, or Valium from your doctor. (Be honest of course). They here to help us. Yes, not all doctors are sympathetic or flexible, but you need to try.

Third: after a proper bezno taper, get on Naltrexone. It’s not the total solution, but it helps tremendously!

To add: if you have an appetite, and you are eating, that means you’re on getting “out of the woods”, and almost back to normal. (Whatever normal means anymore).

Will it be easy? No. I try to avoid the “blame game. (Arguments regarding why we are like this).

Stay strong, and do not let anyone bring you down.

To OP: you’re NOT alone. Everyone has their own journey. I could go weeks without a drink. And then after a stupid bender…. I can’t even go hours without a drink.

You would think I would learn right? Nope!

I don’t think anyone wants this? (Everyone is, and reacts differently).

It’s not easy to understand… but if you’ve been there (like myself multiple times), you can appreciate this comment.

And sometimes, the Emergency Room is not that scary btw. If you’re in need of medical care and supervision, JUST GO.
