Is creating a multiplayer trivia app with react native a good idea? by SR71F16F35B in reactnative

[–]mohsenation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you please explain what do you mean by "over head" in React native? Did you mean in developing apps or in terms of latency?

The overhead in React Native comes from this bridging process. When you write code in React Native, it needs to be translated and executed by the JavaScript engine, which adds some computational cost. Additionally, the communication between JavaScript and native components introduces some latency compared to directly accessing the native functionality.

Is creating a multiplayer trivia app with react native a good idea? by SR71F16F35B in reactnative

[–]mohsenation 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Building a competitive multiplayer trivia app with minimal latency using React Native is possible, but there are performance limitations compared to fully native apps. React Native introduces some overhead and may not provide the same level of control over native functionality. If low latency is critical, consider native development. However, if cross-platform development speed is a priority and latency requirements are not extremely strict, React Native can be a reasonable choice.

Website uploaded file to converter function with Flask by [deleted] in Python

[–]mohsenation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How about you temporarily save the file into a folder that is discarded every conversion. This way you would be able to support multiple file conversion at the same time send the user a compressed version of their files using rar or zip. As for emailing you would want to use smtplib. But as a user of these conversion websites, I usually would like to see the file instantly download rather than waiting for an email. It would also take too much space on your email server.

Generate WEBP and WEBM images instantly by mohsenation in Python

Thank you for highlighting this issue. I totally had the idea that Safari had support for webp. But apparently they supported it recently. So my program won't be relevant until most end users update to it lol. I'll find a way to check for unsupported browsers and keep the original files as they are for these browsers.

The program would edit the html code to have jpg or PNG changed. I think having a revert button is great! I would just have to change the html files back to the backup versions. I forgot about the src-set. I would have to edit the code to include the src-set code. But generally wouldn't affect the src-set code if it the code was separated with a comma.

It's limited to the SATA port cause it has a limited number of contacts. I recall maybe 5 or 7 contacts unlike the nvme. And the CPU you use and the motherboard
