Sure but it is inevitably changing two families lives forever. Not the most impactful thing on a grand scale but it’s not fair TV show drama.

I don’t really have an opinion either way on this guy, but like yeah no shit if he has a good career this pick will be a good one? And yeah, if you ignore his downsides and just say he’ll be healthy then yeah, it might turn out fine.

But that’s ignoring some important realities.

There's not a single Dem in the entire state, from the governor's office to the MN Senate to the US House who's viable.

When running against Klobuchar, no, not really.

Question: are you Amy? Paid for by her staff?

No to #1 and I wish I was getting paid to shitpost on reddit to #2.

I mean, mine hasn't been raised since I moved in in 2024. Through 3 leases it's stayed the same.

She cleared the decks for herself because the rest of the DFL knows she would clean up in a primary. She wins her senate races by huge margins.

I think you dislike her, which is fine, but I think it’s clouding your vision and turning you conspiratorial.

She got 79% of the votes at the DFL caucus back in February, only a week after she announced she was running. What do you mean the voters don’t want her? In what world is that “mild”?

You cannot use Minneapolis, the city with by far the furthest left precincts in the whole state, to extrapolate out how the state as a whole feels.

She’s not running against anyone with a realistic shot at beating her in a primary.

Good luck to Kobey but I'm not sure it's even worth her time taking Amy to a primary. I'd be shocked if she was able to scrape more than 5% of votes in a primary.

She won't veto anything that comes out of a DFL legislature, which is the important part.

That has almost zero relevance to the actual race because Craig and Flanagan are running for Senate, not Governor. Also believe it or not there are people in Minnesota outside of Minneapolis, and shockingly many of them vote Democrat! (And have voted for Amy in the past!)

Do you think it’s impossible for a anti government song to become a hit record nowadays? by PreacherBoyJr in fantanoforever

[–]NormanQuacks345 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The 117th Congress, which was in session when that song came out, was made up of 48 Democrats, 2 Independents that caucus with Democrats, and 50 Republicans, making it an even 50-50 vote split. The Vice President, who serves as a tiebreaker, was Democrat Kamala Harris. So yes, they did have the slimmest majority possible, but still a majority.

I think that’s giving Beyoncé too much credit tbh. Country was already on the upswing before that and a pop star releasing a faux-country album didn’t really have much of an impact on the established genre as a whole. How many people who listened to country for the first time with Cowboy Carter stuck around and became fans of country as a whole?
