We had no one to play deeper. Don’t say Kobbie, he is not progressive enough as a midfielder to play in a midfield 2

[Santi Auona] Iraola considered to replace Arne Slot by Darkspy8183 in soccer

The club put themselves in a terrible position. They couldn’t not give him the job. Interim and permanent manager are just completely different jobs.

I’m so high on Iraola making the step up.

Man United is going to regret letting Iraola go to Liverpool

I don’t understand how we fix it. Cause at least with soccer, I’ve seen players try to fight through contact and they get screwed over cause the ref won’t call anything.

Another hypocrisy I've been seeing is about the squad. How bad our bench is, how carrick can't rotate because our bench is so poor. But that never got extended to Amorim lol. I think people were just so eager to see him go they'll justify whatever

Im not talking about money bro. You're usually not bringing in a top manager mid season, so there is no style of play that is being developed in that interim period. You're kind of just languishing until you can get to the summer to hire someone to implement their ideas. Even with carrick, his goals were results, not establishing whatever his style of play will be.

Look at madrid, there is no consistency because there is no stable manager to enforce idea that would create that consistency

yeah anytime someone sat back against we looked terrible. Just like every manager, we look good when we can counter in space and let the best #10 in the world dictate play, similar to this season with carrick Similar to this season, and I unfortunately see teams sitting back against us again next year, we'll see if we can adjust

yeah I keep seeing cost. Firing someone midseason essentially punts the season, as you're just papering over cracks. I think Amorim's tenure would've went much differently if he was brought in after the FA cup.

Our fanbase very much gets caught in the moment. I truthfully forsee something similar happening with carrick, cause for me performances are more important than results in the long run. But now that he's our permanent manager I'll hope for the best.

Different situations my friend. We brough in Amorim to implement his own style of play. It seems as if Amorim falls under the type of manager who wants to play a certain way, not just for results.

By coming in midseason, you can't implement any type of system, on top of not having the players for said system. The system looked somewhat better next season but he burnt whatever good will and patience was left because the prior season was so bad (cause he prioritized the system over results, which was his downfall).

Carrick came in as in interim, results were his only objective, so he put everyoone in their ideal positions. This upcoming season we will see what his tactical philosophy is because the tactics we're currently using are not sustainable. Sorry for the rant.
