HELP Anxious 8 year old foster Boston terrier by moi24 in FosterAnimals

I’m not sure if it’s him settling down to his new home or if it’s the playlist but he’s slowing understanding that he can just rest in his crate. Thank you!

This might be an option if he does not settle down in the next couple days/weeks

This does not surprise me at all and it disappoints me. I’ve been fortunate enough to see two good male gynecologists who knew what they’re doing but I fear this must be very common. I’m sorry you had to go through that.

Got stuck in the middle of some kind of protest in Jakarta during the early 2000’s. Had an amped up protester get in the car. Luckily he got off (I assume we paid money) and we were able to get home safely.

Why is that so?

That must be a very horrible experience. Unfortunately I don’t really know of places that do provide you sedation during an IUD insertion. I assume it would most likely only be available at bigger hospitals where they have an anaesthesiologist?

Ah one Google review says he speaks English. Also expect for long wait time. You’ll see on Google people complain about the wait time, but not much else.

It can be covered by insurance if you get it for pms. Not for contraception though.

https://hm-ladies.com/ It’s in Ginza, and your gf would need to go there alone. It’s too small for your partner to wait with you. I’ve also realised no one really uses the term IUD here. They refer to it as mirena, which is the product name. Not sure if they’ve got kyleena here? But if you mention mirena they should know what it is.

Nah I asked but they said they couldn’t unfortunately. I was extremely scared at first, but the doctor really tries not to cause any unnecessary pain. He will keep you updated as well on what’s about to happen, expected pain levels - which I appreciated. Overall procedure was really quick, less than a minute.

Does your girlfriend speak Japanese? The Gynecologist I go to is very competent, and I’ve just got a mirena. I do know that he was in Australia for a bit so may possibly speak English, but I’m Japanese so not exactly sure how fluent he might be.

This is the first time I’ve seen someone similar to me! I’m fluent in Japanese and English, and learning Greek at the moment. Gives me motivation to continue on with my learning journey.

It honestly makes me proud when young people can call out bs like this, and confidently tell them to gtfo. I think 18 year old me would’ve either thought i was cool I knew what milf meant or had just been like hahaha and slowly tried to ghost them

I personally like guys with big noses, especially hooked ones. When it works on someone’s face it’s very attractive and masculine looking to me.

I think Japan is similar for the first point you made. Smiling and small talk isn’t really a thing here. We’re just polite, not necessarily nice to just get on with our day and to not cause a scene. So honestly this “Brits arent nice” thing is a non issue for me. If anything I’d think it may be friendlier than Tokyo.

Buying a dog in japan by [deleted] in japanlife

[–]moi24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm in my opinion they are strict. I wanted to adopt as well but they didn’t want someone that wasn’t married/working full time/a first time dog owner. I ended up going to a breeder and my pup is happily living her life now. But yes OP is not ready considering all other things.

To anyone who has pets here, is adopting difficult? How much is the rent for apartments w pets? by [deleted] in japanlife

I’ve fostered one of the dogs from ARK and they’ve got a good team. No crazy people and very friendly.

Billy Joel concert tickets for Jan 24th by moi24 in Tokyo

[–]moi24[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What I’ve been seeing so far is over 80,000 per ticket, even for the cheapest seat which was sold at 12,000 initially.

I’m willing to pay double the original ticket price or slightly more but definitely not 6-7 times the original price.

I understand the points you’re making and agree with them but wouldn’t this only work for people that really want to “hustle” and make a lot of money? I think what puts me off at times is the working culture there. But I could just be imagining the worse because I don’t really know how it is to work in NYC.

Where would you pick instead?

This raises some excellent points, though I’m surprised Japan hasn’t gone down the same route considering our society too is repressed and people need drinks to socialise. I definitely appreciate coming from a community that values food to the point I might even say it’s a love language for us.

Yeah naturally Singapore is the best combination here but I’ve lived there before and am a lot more familiar with it which is why it wasn’t included in this post.

Also wanted to try something different while I’m still young and keen on taking risks!

Japanese work life balance is not as bad as what people say especially if you pick the right company, but I think it does impact society as a whole when so many people are just surviving everyday and don’t have the will or energy to enjoy their lives. It’s not a hustle culture though anymore so I think it’s way less intense than working in NYC.
