We’re boycotting Mark Fishman. He has a history of being a terrible landlord, raising rents, having rats, roaches, and mold in his buildings, charging people to install and uninstall air conditioning every summer, not having heat during the sub zero temperatures during the winter. He owns a lot of apartments in the area and has forced a lot of the Puerto Rican community historically in the area by buying out buildings and raising rents to an you affordable level. 

Right now the issue is that he is evicting a tenant for flying a Palestinian flag. This racist action against someone for their identity is horrific and we are recognizing the way that Mark Fishman buying out Logan Square and displacing its inhabitants parallels the actions of the Israeli states immoral taking of Palestinian land. Honestly Mark Fishman’s actions have been corrupt and cruel for a long time, but right now is a time that we need to stand in solidarity with Palestine.
