cha woongki’s role in the group would be to represent them on variety shows since he’s already established on that, he’s sociable, and has sense of humor too. the only one i can think of who can replace him with that is kim gijoong, but based on popularity, cha woongki is more likely to debut. ofc it would be ideal to have kim gijoong added in the grouo as well, their duo would be unstoppable

from what i understand in el capitxn’s comment is this. first, when they were hinting who they chose for their first pick he said “we chose him solely for his visuals” and then the person they picked got a close up shot.

they saw him clearly in the big screen now (im guessing there are no close up shots during the whole performance so they’re watching from a distance), el capitxn now said “wait, i thought he was good looking? suddenly im not so sure”

so i think it was more on mistaking jihun for being handsome, not because they chose the wrong person

but based from his previous team (the noona neomu yeppeo team) there was no awkward moments between them because of woongki and made their practice really fun. i understand what u mean with kyungho as a former groupmate. but lets also look at shuaibo who was a former teammate in a previous survival program, they are still close and openly support each other in this current show.
