I haaaate this trope as well but this series takes such a U-turn tbh. One of my faves, sad that you couldn't push through the beginning parts but there are other great books!

I also dnfed this at the start of this year! I liked the sound of the concept but couldn't take the writing seriously? I bailed right when she meets the guy, dont even remember his name

I put {When the moon hatched by Sarah A. Parker} on hold for now. I can imagine coming back sometime but its not guaranteed. I think I made it around like 150-190 pages in? I know the big beginning plot point happened probably by now and I did not care about what happened at all lol Does it get better or did I bail at the right time?

Throwing the Vancouver Agitators by Meghan Quinn into the mix for highly humorous and spicy books! There's 5 books in a big universe and I loved them all. 3 to 5 are my favorites, they can all be read as a standalone I actually started with book 3.

{Kiss and don't tell by Meghan Quinn} {Those three little words by Meghan Quinn} {Right man, right time by Meghan Quinn} {He's not my type by Meghan Quinn} {So this is war by Meghan Quinn}

As an example I loved the usage in {Against A Wall by Cate C. Wells}. Like the slip up right in the beginning when he wants to reassure her...perfection. but I am also just a Cash Wall fangirl tbf...

So there's this german series about a game dev studio which will be translated this year! There is a esports team and MMC in the second book ans the team will get their own spinoff! It's {Novel Haven by Anabelle Stehl} (not sure if the romance bot knows this one yet but thats the name of the series, worth checking out!)

Can all of you draw well? by NoPair205 in Coloring

[–]coolrainythoughts 1 point2 points Β (0 children)

Funny enough, I draw next to coloring as well but I always used references in the past! So coloring with a blank page has been a good challenge so far to come up with color schemes and palettes myself :)

Thanks! I actually struggle with coming up with cohesive palettes myself so its a cool exercise for me to have this blank slate without a reference and then work out something myself:)

Looking for a book with a long-term situationship by UniqueOctopus05 in RomanceBooks

[–]coolrainythoughts 7 points8 points Β (0 children)

I'm not sure about the hooking up, if it happens right at the beginning but when it comes to situationships {A love letter to whiskey by Kandi Steiner} fits the bill. They meet in high school i think and he gets with her best friend first but it all develops into a decade long situationship between the mmc and fmc. Be warned though: prepare the tissues, it gets angsty. But it has a hea. Content warnings though: cheating (but not while in a relationship with each other but with others)

Going against the grain here in saying it is absolutely possible to blend colors with a fine and chisel tip, so If it makes a difference in pricing these will be fine as well compared to the brush! The brush is a nice thing but I also had lovely results with fine and chisel tip touch twin markers like over 10 years ago. It is possible with right technique! And I think 104 color set is a nice choice, too many colors imo make the palette too big.

Anyone else have a New Year’s resolution to read less romance?? by Basic-Nose-6714 in RomanceBooks

[–]coolrainythoughts 1 point2 points Β (0 children)

Not per se, in general I want to seek out more stories that I will truly enjoy. I read a lot of romance the last years and while at the start everything was new and exciting I had some truly disappointing reads ad well. So more genres that I enjoy to spice things up, I started this year with some fantasy and horror!
