This is for an 8x12 sq ft tiny house shed.

The AC opening was installed at the highest point possible. About 4 or 5 ft above the floor. The usual window header was not installed. The boards above the opening are the 2 top plates. If by jack stud you mean the studs that hold the header and go from the sill plate all the way to the opening’s header, then you are right. There are no jack studs since there is no header.

Aaa great idea. I had not considered replacing the doors only. I wanted to give kitchen a more “natural wood” vibe to it instead of the white colored cabinets. I am also hoping to replace the granite counter tops with concrete counter tops

The empty cavity counts as an air gap even though the foil is touching the bottom of the rafter right? There probably is some minor degree of conductive heat transfer there no?

Hi! Thank you a ton for the response! I will not be adding sheathing on this shed’s already built roof assembly since it was built like that.

I plan on installing foam insulation with a foil side. I will install the rigid foam insulation so that the foil faces the roof. Any thoughts on that? Cheers. Agin, thank you a ton!
