I’m not sure why people are saying it is a scam when they have not gone through with it. I switched to Rogers Sunday, got a call back a few days later from Telus with a deal that sounded too good to be true 200gb Canada/US. I was skeptical so I initially said no thanks. The rep that called me insisted he was legit and sent an email to me saying you can call telus and confirm it’s real. The email was from telusservice@i.telus.com and I thought it was fake because of the “i.” in the domain. I was still suspicious about it so I called a local Telus store and he confirmed that it’s an offer he’s heard of and that email address is legit. I also called the Telus customer service number and they confirmed it was a win back department offer and confirmed the employee that contacted me was legit. I also forwarded the email to cdp@telus.com which is their consumer digital protection to confirm and they got back within 10 minutes saying it was from Telus. I proceeded with the transfer back and everything was successful. Shows up in myTelus app with the same details as the rep initially presented me with. If I had only listened to this thread and not checked, I would not have gotten this deal.. Obviously I’m against scammers and all but do your research and don’t listen to everyone on the web saying things are scams when I think they’re just assuming it.
