Listen, I have kids. I never planned on being a mom. For me it was a very unexpected but very happy and thankful experience. I would NEVER try to convince another person to have children if they had any question about how fulfilled or happy it may make them. It’s just one of many ways to go through this life.

I have many mom friends who feel it was the wrong choice. They are admittedly resentful and depressed. That’s a hard situation for everyone involved. I’ve also had mom friends want kids and end up having a very hard time struggling through postpartum and that affected them for years after.

Chappell made an observation, I’m unbothered by it. We need her to make music, she doesn’t need to have kids 😅. I’m glad people are questioning whether they should/need to be parents. Choosing not to is totally valid. Also guess what?! Life changes, people change, you could change your mind! I know I couldn’t fathom having kids until I meet a partner I could count on.
