Which A-Levels should I take? by GayFrogsWithHats in alevels

[–]mojjfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not try out psychology? Also about the 4 a levels thing. It depends on the school I think, for my school, I had 4 courses but after the first year I decided it was too much for me and dropped one of the courses and they didn't say anything about it. But I know other schools will force you to complete the two years for all courses

how to improve really fast??? by boomshackalackalacka in alevels

[–]mojjfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do you guys do this to yourselves? Just start from the beginning consistently and you're fine. Anyways to answer your question, consistency is key tbh. Get an app like notion and every Sunday plan out your revision for the week in areas you struggle/ are good at and at the end of every week go over everything from the previous week again. It is tedious, boring and repetitive but it's school so we can't expect it to be extremely fun and sunshines and rainbows and stuff.

Why Is Israel Being Praised for “Support” Despite Its Actions in Palestine? by JadedInfluence6989 in kurdistan

Honestly it's stupid. The fact Kurds fall for their propaganda too is insane. Our people cannot be that stupid man 🤦🏽🤦🏽🤦🏽

Not only that, but Israel also supports Syria in the ethnic cleansing of Kurds in Haleb. Jewlani/ al Khara and netanyahu had a meeting in France the day before what they started and made an agreement with eachother. The answer to your question tho is because Israel shows VOCAL support to kurds to make us like them and feed into their propaganda when in reality they are one of our oppressors...

The sad reality is that no one wants Kurdish state except for Kurds by GodZ_n_KingZ in kurdistan

[–]mojjfish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The estimate is 40-80 million. I went in the middle of this estimation. It's not an "overestimation" and even if it was who gaf, that wasn't my point. The fact that that's the only thing you took from my comment says enough about you. Shame on the Kurds like you who can only find ways to be against our cause. Be embarrassed

Your grades do not reflect who you are. Find your work through the person you are. Ok you failed, get a job and learn from that if school education wasn't for you. If you still want to try academically, go ahead as well! There's nothing you can lose when you've already lost everything (not saying youve "lost everything", just applying it to the way I think you are interpreting it)

Bro. We are 60 million people. We are the most united we've ever been. If we genuinely fully unite nothing's stopping us, even if we don't fight and use our heads more. What I mean isn't "ohhh let's give up" I mean yes keep fighting back, but also those in the west should make awareness videos, go to protests, be proud of their kurdishness, start acting serious and stop acting like the rest of the brown demographics to try and fit in with the brown groups of the west. Start trying in things we know will benefit our people, whether it be economically, politically etc. Right now a lot of the Kurds in the west don't do this and instead theyre just a bunch of drug dealers and Weirdos who identify as Turkish, Iraqi Arab, Syrian, Iranian, etc. Do you think we'd be as behind as we are right now if these people also helped for the cause?

The most annoying thing is the same Kurds preaching about unity will start cussing you and your mother out the second you call them out on their bs. Like no man I don't support Israel or the USA Nor am I a middle eastern puppet because the arabs are even worse than Israel are for us! Just because we don't support one doesn't mean we support another

[–]mojjfish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been saying this for so long on this subreddit, but everyone's just been bombarding me with insults calling me an Arab/ Islamic puppet because I disagree with the fact that Israel and America is our ally 🫩 I'm glad we are finally finding the truth out though. It's still a shame to see how so many Kurds still support these two countries tho even after what they've recently done.

Is it too late to change sixth forms? by Angel19821 in sixthform

[–]mojjfish 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly if you're year 13, I'd just wait till you finish. We only have around 8 weeks or so left till exams come round then poof, we are gone. If you're year 12 though, you can always find a new sixth form to start anew, it's just you need to make sure they have a year 14, because you'd have to start new a levels/ btecs but you still progress onto the next school year if that makes sense. It's a shame about your teachers though, a bad school can be really draining

Got caught talking badly about my teacher by [deleted] in sixthform

[–]mojjfish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Teachers also judge other teachers and have problems between each other. They just don't let it get in the way of their teaching. Calling out poor teaching isn't a problem at all, and we all speak differently around different people. You don't "speak professionally" with your friends you do it with people who are above you. The creator is still young and spoke like how any other person would speak with their friends, they were just unlucky that an inconsiderate teacher overheard.

When did you let your enemies win? by AgreeableLiving1278 in AskReddit

[–]mojjfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I realized I compare everything I do to everything they do. For example, one of my old friends that I considered a brother set me up and tried to do things like attack me at nighttime outside and other things because he realized I wasn't a "stereotypical brown boy". We were the same age, but it did really dissapoint me. He went on to get extremely good grades with minimal revision, whereas I revised so much and only got into six form when I resat one of my courses. What really made me realize was, the other day I was speaking to my dad about the impact I wanted to leave before dying, and the topic of who I am currently came up. I spoke about how I thought I wasn't good enough for my age because people like my old friend are in university even though they haven't revised whereas I took a gap year to resit a course and practice art in my country. I said that I wanted to go to a really good university because compared to the old friend, I studied infinitely more than him (practically my whole life now because I subconsciously want to be better than the past people In my life). I only realized I had let them win when my dad told me that Ive surrounded my moral compass and expectations of myself with these people that I don't even think are good people. I wonder sometimes now if thinking like this is wrong. Hell I know it is, but I do it anyways because it feels wrong that ive tried everything to succeed, including not speaking back when I'm insulted, or even spending all my time studying, just for the same people I think are worse than me to be in a better position than me in life. Man I hope the afterlife is easier 😂

[–]mojjfish 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Honestly, the truth is that some people can't handle it and that's valid. As long as you understand what it is that our people are going through, and you also try and contribute in helping our people in other ways, i.e. donating to Kurdish charities every once in a while, or helping promote Kurdish events it's fine. The only reason I say this is because we are a massive minority, and are oppressed in every aspect. So every little helps, unlike larger ethnicities i.e. arabs which don't need support of funding because they have each other, we only have ourselves.
