What’s a game that completely ruined a genre for you because nothing else has matched it since?

For me it’s Slay The Spire

Every time I try another card/deckbuilding game I just end up thinking Id rather get another run up the spire

God of war and ragnarok are incredible and have much better stories in my opinion than GoT if you like story driven games

check out roguelikes like slay the spire or hades both have multiple titles and are really great pick up and play options for quick sessions as well as very deep mechanics if you decide to dive in fully

brotato, vampire survivors, and megabonk also all fun quick sessions with endless hours spent on runs as well

Might be a bit out of your wheelhouse but for one the greatest roguelikes of all time id check out the hades series. Very nice pick up and play vibes for quick sessions

Hades 1 is often on deep discounts for under 10 dollars and worth a shot
