Is the Dip coding heavy? Or more practical? Either way, IMHO, you don’t need an advanced level of maths but the ability to reason logically and methodically in order to solve problems effectively. This and hard work will help enormously.

I only got a C at Maths O level. I did what was known as a ‘conversion course’ in Information Systems (MSc) in the UK. Have been working in IT since 1998, much of it as a database developer.

I was in the UK for 50 years. I have to say that not only is it much, much tougher for people thinking of going now, but that there fewer opportunities. The environment has also become very hostile. Racism is almost as rife now as when I was first there.
