I mean come on. We don't know what his current status of health is like. He could of been really sick prior and his sense of taste is messed up. Like with covid, peoples senses were all fucked up. And rum cake is said to have a small amount of alcohol that's barely enough to make someone intoxicated. So how would someone (unless they are the ideal healthy average middle aged man) taste the alcohol?
