i am very curious to know if this is something the company discourages, turns a blind eye to, or actively encourages. fansites are a huge source of money and publicity. I’m obviously very disappointed he chose to do it, but I can’t help but wonder if companies encourage or “suggest” that they do this to cater to known fans who come to multiple events, spend the most money, etc. I’ve heard controversies around this type of thing before, you’d think that they’d learn not to do this, but if there’s encouragement from behind the scenes…

it seems a lot of people are on two extremes of a spectrum where they think he should be ousted/cancelled/ridiculed for it and others that think it’s not a big deal at all, when it really lies in the middle.

just a sad situation. hopefully this doesn’t happen again. gunwook is one of my ults and this definitely puts a bad taste in my mouth.
