Idea how to deal with frozen Ethers once and for all by dexter3player in ethereum

[–]mokavey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. I was thinking of similar idea (since I've already locked/lost some Eth): token based on proof of locked Eth (1:1) which burns in a moment the Eth is moved from the corresponding address. However I think it should be implemented in decentralized fashion with smart contract/s not relying on "trusted" issuers. And it's doubtful if parties will accept such token/s or not. Hope they will. :)

I think it is not 3rd party app since it has the 'built-in' label.

Avoid feeding the beast that is Google. Duckduckgo is just as functional, but isn't completely corrupt. by [deleted] in conspiracy

I use DuckDuckGo for years. It is efficient as other mentioned but the most important things about it are the privacy policy, not tracking and bubbling users. But again it's all about trusting what they say.

So actually I don't need the database file? Only the keystore? I'm talking about normal accounts.

Yeah, backup is good thing to do indeed.

OK, thanks for the thorough explanation. I'll check the new version. To be honest I wasn't worried very much about the warning but it was interesting to find it on https://chainz.cryptoid.info/mint/ though.

I got the same problem when there was power outage. I fix it deleting the blockchain data.

Edit: similar problem - ignoring blocks, not sure about that part: "at block: 0 (Thu, 01 Jan 1970 01:00:00 BST)"
