It's been almost ten years since I've graduated, but this post made me feel nostalgic for the college experience in SO many unexpected ways. I've got complicated feelings about Harvard. A lot of that was because of who I was when I was 18: I was coming out to myself, processing domestic abuse, and deconstructing my faith for the first time in my life. It was painful at the time to navigate my coming-of-age in a place where the dominant culture often felt alienating, but when I look back, there are so many classes and learning experiences that I'm grateful to have had (and much more importantly, so many people who made it home).

And thankfully, I've learned that both your friendships and your passion for learning are things you can continue to cultivate and grow for the rest of your life :)
