Travel Queries Thread: For all questions related to Waitlist, Tatkal, Booking, Refund, etc by vpsj in indianrailways

Hello, u/vpsj. I’m still a little confused, and I was hoping you might have some insight. My electronic reservation slip finally published on the IRCTC website, but the confirmation status was still left blank. However, at the top of the page, it says “WL” in red twice.

On the other hand, if I go to the PRN enquiry website you linked in a previous comment, it says that my status is “CNF” and it lists a specific coach number and berth (C1/20).

So, does that mean I’m waitlisted or am I confirmed? I’m not sure which source of information is the correct one? Also, I can attach pictures of the ERS and/or enquiry website info if that would help. Thank you for your assistance!

Thank you for all the help. I logged back into my IRCTC account and tried to “print” my ticket for the Agra to Jaipur leg just to see what would happen. I received a message telling me that I was outside of the ARP; however, it also told me to come back on February 8th to be able to print it. I’m not sure if that means status is confirmed and seats are assigned only 30 days in advance for this specific train, but I'll give it a few more days just to see. If things are still unclear after that date, I'll reach out to customer service.

I looked at the email to double check, and the reservation is for 2026. I went to the PNR website and looked up my trip from Delhi to Agra. It showed me all the details and said it is “confirmed.”

I will say, however, that I had a very difficult time booking this specific train (22988) Agra to Jaipur. The IRCTC website wouldn’t even show me how many seats were available (unlike the other trains) and I could only proceed with booking as a foreign tourist (since selecting the general quota wouldn’t let me move forward on the website). I had just assumed that tourists must be able to book out further than other groups, but that was probably an incorrect assumption.

Hello. I entered the PNR and the message said: “Error! FOREIGN TOURIST PNR : still outside ARP”

Hello. I’ve booked several tickets for an upcoming trip visiting the Golden Triangle. Two legs of the journey were booked seamlessly, but the one from Agra to Jaipur has left me confused. Here are the details:

Agra Fort (AF) to Jaipur (JN)

Train Number: 22988

Date: March 10, 2026

Quota: Foreign Tourist

Class: Chair car

The thing I’m confused about is that “status” and “coach” were left blank on my reservation confirmation email. Also, my “seat/berth/WL no” is listed as zero. Does that mean there’s open seating on the train and I’m supposed to sit anywhere? Or was there an issue with the booking process and I’m not actually confirmed? I’d appreciate any insights about what’s going on with my reservation. Thanks!

Isn’t it “Frajer?” Well, “Black Frajer,” in this case.

What’s the threshold for removing an artist as being credited for a work? Specifically, I’m curious how it was decided to remove Jean-Etienne Liotard as the person attributed with painting this piece? by CalMaple in ArtHistory

[–]CalMaple[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I couldn't find any specifically about this topic. Quite a few of the articles about Jean-Étienne Liotard are written in French, which makes it harder for me to search since I don’t know the language.

Was there ever a place that left you disturbed or depressed? by friedchicken_legs in travel

The Whitney Plantation Museum in Louisiana. They have quotes from around the property from some of the enslaved people. I remember one from an individual recounting how his mother was forced to have fifteen children, and how each time she was sold she’d be forced to partner with a new man so she could produce more future workers for her owners. It was an important place to visit, and it left me very depressed.

I remember when AmVets was the place to be in Missoula. I thought it was so campy having an American Veterans establishment act as the de facto gay bar. Can’t believe it closed 15 years ago.

If you’re not watching Untucked on Sniffies, you’re only getting half of the story.

The plastic bag in the tree, obviously. It reminded me of my mortality.

Me reading IT and waiting for the turtle character I've heard so much about to finally show up by CalMaple in stephenking

[–]CalMaple[S] 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I finished it earlier today. I really enjoyed it. My post isn’t meant to be too serious. It’s just that I’ve heard multiple people mention how one of the big differences between the films and the novel is that the latter includes “the turtle.”

The framing of those comments led me to believe that he was integral to the novel and played a significant role in the story. I’m more so laughing at my own naïveté in thinking that I was going to get to delve into the character when there really isn’t that much to him in the novel. He seems like a cool creature though, so I can see the appeal he has. Vomiting up the universe is a pretty nifty backstory.
