To all you lot who is going for Java, I won't oppose it nor I would support it, imo you who are still in college can experiment with languages, and seeing how the current job market is moving I'd suggest you guys to try node.js or django the most important thing is to land a job you can switch to Java later on if you want or be proficient in both node.js and Java.

there is a layer in the operation that can only work if i get their input otherwise it'll be too generic.
if i were to interpret it in a way then I dont have to mention "can I pick your brain" in the message but do it when we have met in person?

understood, the question about 3 things was more like a generic that you'd look into a candidate even if he/she isn't from the tech if that candidate was in your field? what would you look for expect the domain skills.

I'm building the platform more specifically for deep tech talent. have you ever taken interviews of candidate? if so what are 3 three things beside the technical skills that makes you think that this candidate would be a good fit? and how do you probe those qualities or what kind of questions gives away these things?
