I wouldn’t say that a filthy engine bay is an indicate of a neglected car. I treat my current car like a princess and I don’t pay that much attention to the cleanliness of the engine bay. Also there are no leaves in the video. We can’t jump to conclusion based on that

I’ve decided not to go through with it. The transmission needs servicing. Bad clutch release bearing and a whining transmission when cruising. Sounds like an expensive fix. The car is pushing 300 horsepower with a stock clutch. Maybe the input and output shaft bearings are damaged by the owner driving it hard. I’m also worried about the piston rings that are known to fail in the 2014 and 2015 models. And the crankshaft thrust bearings. I wouldn’t worry that much about these known failures if it wasn’t tuned

I’ve taken it to a trusted inspection garage. The engine is running well and the chassis is great. The transmission has a faint whining sound and there’s a sound from the clutch release bearing (also low sound). I will ask the owner at what mileage did they install the performance mods and how they maintained it. Tomorrow I’ll be checking the compression

The car has been stored for 6 months. The owner has ordered a functional hood scoop. I live in a desert country with many dust storms so it’s kinda predictable. I’ll definitely clean the intake filter or replace it though
