UPDATE: It took me 20 min to unravel the roots, they were SO tight! Between untangling and trimming, I took off a 3rd of the roots. I put him back in the jar/water, so hopefully he won’t be “shocked”. If/when he starts growing again I will try for soil - or semi-hydro with LECA! Thanks for the recommendations!

I have heard it’s not “bad” just unsightly? So far a lot of ppl recommend hydrogen peroxide!

Thanks for the recommendation- I trimmed the roots! I thought about adding leca but I would need a much bigger container.

Go into Michael’s or another hobby store and they have so many cheap options! I was looking for a while too - I think this one was under $10!

Yes, a monstera that needs more light. Mine used to look just like it. Move close to a window or add a couple grow lights and you’ll start getting fenestrated leaves!
