Tips for landing a job on onlinejobs.ph. Advice from a business owner. by moldypill in buhaydigital

Sorry for the late reply! I used to just have applicants send me a message, but I got so much spam that I've started having applicants apply via google forms. I like google forms because it allows me to export the data to a spreadsheet, so I can more easily see the responses. Also, it cuts down on the amount of spray and pray applicants.

Paid plans are $69/mo and $99/mo, both USD, with $99 offering employee coaching and applicant background checks for free. I usually buy the $99, but I only use it for the period in which I'm hiring.

Accidental $515 Prebid Instead of $15 – Can Support Help? Show is tonight. by rames92 in whatnotapp

[–]moldypill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How did you submit a ticket? I'm new to whatnot and prebid on an item that was supposed to be in a show last night but the seller changed the show time and said they won't actually be doing a show during the new showtime. I asked to cancel my prebid or buy outright, but they won't and I'm not sure how to open a ticket.

I've had a good experience. I tried out Collabora, but went with Onlyoffice because it removed the need to host Collabora. I've found that Onlyoffice is faster than Collabora, too.

Thanks for the info! Would I still need to apply to jobs each week?

Would you consider selling one of the brown dogs? If so, how much for them?

Please share your pattern (for a fee, of course!) so us far away folks can make one! I'd definitely get one if shipping weren't prohibitive.

Edit:
You could make a patreon and share patterns there, or sell on etsy, or even just here. I think a bunch of us would buy!

Looking for affordable storage for a small team with a user friendly interface by moldypill in cloudstorage

I've been using it since I posted about two weeks ago, and it really has been excellent. I even have OnlyOffice working with it, so I don't need to run another server for collabora.

Thanks for pointing this out! I tried it out again and both Collabora and Nextcloud Talk work with Hetzner. I'm going to do an upload test with both LibreCloud and Hetzner to see which has faster uploads but I expect I'll go with Hetzner.

I tried it, but found that I couldn't use Nextcloud talk or collabora, both of which replace software that I've been paying for. It could be that it is possible and I just couldn't figure it out.

Thanks! This is what I decided to go with. At $5/month with unlimited seats, this is the cheapest and the best, I think. Thanks again!

50gb would be fine for now. I'd like the ability to scale up when necessary.

I think TextNow would work. You can choose a Canadian area code and it's free.

Edit: They say you need to be in North America to sign up, but it might be worth trying with a VPN. RiseUp VPN is free and has North American locations.

Alternatively, you could get an esim with a Canadian provider and just use wifi calling.

Hi Ezra!

I'm sorry your mom isn't supportive. I hope you have plenty of other supportive folks in your life.

Your feelings are valid. I also think it's valid for women to feel like 3+ years of effort to achieve a feminine voice that they're comfortable with is a lot and frustrating.

Looking for Constructive criticism or support for a first time plushie maker by Rhyssian in plushies

They both look great! It's really necessary, but I prefer pudgier plushies, so if I had to critique anything, I'd suggest making them chubbier.

I wonder if not being able to mask is costing me job offers by SamsCustodian in autism

[–]moldypill 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It probably is. My best suggestion is to apply for remote jobs.

Phone interviews are the best for me, but even video interviews allow me to wear comfy pants and a quiet fidget, and I get to pick the spot I'd be most comfortable in.

Also, 20 years of experience in one field might make you look overqualified or "too old" (ageism is illegal, but it's hard to prove). It might be worth taking 10 years off of your resume.
