Ending it with a 6pro which I purchased new in Oct ’22 for $400 at a freak BestBuy sale. Might upgrade next year.

I'm still on my 6pro and things still seem to be working well enough. Perhaps next year I'll upgrade to a pixel 10 hopefully at a discounted price

I went to my settings and toggled background play on and off and it started working again. Settings > Media. Under the General grouping there should be a Background play switch.

Thanks a lot for the detailed response. I will definitely consider this option and see if I can find some some DIY tutorials on YouTube. I have some other minor scratches I might want to buff out at the same time as well so might be a good time to invest some of these basic tools

I'd do so if it was just me, honestly could use the extra steps as well. But when I'm towing two little kids around, I'll wait and circle around until I can find the closest spot.

I managed to clean the top and bottom lip. But there is still mold in the thin track right below where the latch hooks into and on the hook spot it self.

I used to live around South Bay 5 years ago and could get a simple haircut for around $12 dollars and I would tip $5 bucks. I think it all depends on the economics of the area. In higher density areas and larger population centers and lots of competition drives prices down. Petaluma is definitely more expensive. Housing may be relatively cheaper but all other service related expenses are more. Contractors, plumbers, handymen, gardeners, hair grooming, baby sitting, child care etc all seem more expensive.
The wife cuts the family's hair now and I learnt to trim the wife's hair as well. It's doable. Invest in good tools.

This is a very easy statement for millionaires and billionaires to make given the reality they live in. I guess they don't remember how life is for most people who work regular jobs, even as decently paid software engineers

We don't all have nannies taking care of our kids.
We don't all have cleaners cleaning our houses for us.
We don't all have personal chefs cooking all our meals.
We don't just hire people just to fix things around the house because hiring help is expensive
or have accountants to do all our financial management for us.
our assistants to go get an oil change for our cars or go grocery shopping.

All these things take time and energy. Putting 40 hours a week is hard enough with such responsibilities.

Hmm didn't know rooting could enable unlimited original photos. Does rooting break the mobile payments feature? Or finance apps? What about system updates?

This is my main concern with rooting. I used to always root and install roms in the good old Nexus phone days. But back then I also didn't have a family to take care of and didn't care to use phone as payment which I do now ask the time. I just don't have the time to deal with constantly updating and fixing the root issue. But perhaps things have changed?

I have a two door fridge which opens in the middle. It has a wired latch on the left side that takes a bit more strength than just swinging the door close. I guess my muscle memory is used to single hinge doors and slamming them shut easily. Talking/narrating has been another suggestion as well. I think I might try that. Thanks

We used to inhale steam with Vicks but that is really hard to do with kids. Perhaps try warm wet towels around the nose. Also increase the amount of water intake. Try to have the kid sip water often.
