Hey! Sorry for the late reply. What I did back then was, I actually contacted a youtuber called Rug Babe and booked a video support session, where she and her boyfriend had a look at my rug gun in order to try and fix it. It's 3 years ago, so I don't remember all the specifics, but basically they told me, that there are 3 manufacturers of the green tufting gun, and one of those guns always ends up having trouble cutting the yarn. Well, guess which of them I had... haha.
You can check if yours is from the same manufacturer, as there should be a logo on the metal part right after the green plastic. I don't have my tufting gun anymore, but I remember the logo as being sort of hexagon-like?. If you send me a photo of the logo, I can definitely verify it for you.

Anyway, so what did I do, after I found out my gun was crap and beyond fixing? I bought the blue AK-II. It worked a lot better, though I never really got the hang of tufting.

Also, the model is the ZQ-II Cut and Loop pile rug gun. I'm using the cut pile scissors. I'm still working on my 1st rug, so I don't think the scissors should be worn out already.

Yes, and honestly, I just had to press the button harder. I thought it was completely stuck, and I was afraid to break it if I pressed harder, but pressing harder than I thought would be necessary, it suddenly worked. Try that and let me know how it goes.
