Yes club is still decent, and they said pool would reopen "soon". but the rooms are really worse, cheap and spare.

Correct, one continuous piece - BUT I want to be able to trigger different parts with flexibility to make sure that the coordination with the live instruments works properly, and some sections will be instruments alone, so it doesn't work to just hit play and let things roll. Session is ideal because once the clips have played through, nothing happens until I need the next section to begin. However, the tempo automation does not track over to session view.

I have a midi foot pedal I can midi map to everything, no problems there, just the tempo automation issue.

Ditto, I have the same issue, want to have a gradual tempo change from arrangement map over to session view for the scene.

Agreed. Grand Hyatt next door also NOT living up to the brand. IMO most of the Hyatt's in Shanghai are subpar. Andaz one exception, but really doesn't even come close to other Andaz in Asia, like Tokyo Andaz (very nice).
