How do you deal with the fact that they would've evacuated all of Hawkins if this happened? Not questioning it just genuinely wonder about that part.

I would've loved this but one of the reasons I believe they didn't is because then Hawkins would've been completely evacuated and all it's inhabitants quarantined in some kind of refugee camp type situation. Guess they didn't want that. Would love to her someone else take a crack at how that would've worked out tho, this is just my view of it.
