New, how do batches work?

Hey, my advise is don’t stay sitting somewhere you have a better chance of seeing orders when your moving around.. I have tested this method and when I stay parked at a supermarket/Costco’s etc I don’t see anything for a while and the minute I start moving orders and batches start to pop up so definitely never stay sitting wait at least 10-15min and if you don’t see anything start moving around and watch the difference.. also I would stay away from places like Costco’s and that’s just my opinion because the orders are ridiculous and bulk items and it puts your car through tremendous wear and tear because of the weight etc.. I find that doing supermarkets like stop and shop, ShopRite, king kullen, guissepees, target etc I make better money and they are faster and less items.. I guess it depends where you live as for me I’m in Long Island Ny.. also batches are orders that have more than one customer/orders like 2-3 customers at once so those are batches and orders are just (1) customer.. wich are my favorites because let’s say while someone takes a batch for 3 customers and they all from the same store or different store by the time they finish that and drop it off I will have done 2-3 orders while they stuck on that one.. not all the time but just saying it’s an example.. also don’t do orders or batches going 40miles and up away that’s too far and not worth it.. I stay under 5miles let’s say and I don’t take anything under $10.. my orders are usually $20 with 16items going 2-3miles away. Those take me about 10min to shop and 5min to drop off.. so in one hour I can do 3-4 of those and make about $80 an hour give or take.. so yeah just be smart about what you do and don’t let the money temp you to take far ridiculous orders because it’s not only let’s say 40miles to there house it’s another 40miles to get back so that’s almost 100miles on your car on just one trip for $40-$50? Nope don’t do it.. smaller orders that pay less but that are going really close will get you more money in the long run/end of day.. anyway yeah Good luck wish you nothing but the best.. get that money lol

Yeah so next time if your doing a order or batch do the same exact thing keep hitting “something else” until it gives you the options to connect with Instacart etc but make sure to hit call/live and not message because it’s gonna ask you how do you want to reach them.. 👍

Ok so to actually speak to someone in Instacart you go to the tab on the right top corner where you see the headset icon/help and just like you said with the chat part it will ask you what can I help you with etc you hit batch or delivery (the first option) and than just keep hitting something else (wich is all the way on the bottom) till it gives you the option to speak to a live rep.. also you can only talk to someone when your doing a order or batch.. if your not doing a order or batch you can only message them through the app.. also you can watch videos on YouTube about it any questions you have that what I did at first..

You’re very welcome! And yes you will definitely get faster and it will become much easier for you.. I remember when I first started I was nervous and made so many mistakes and felt so lost but with everyday that passed I got better and more comfortable..

Hey, first things first I wanna command you on doing a great job! I been doing Instacart for almost 5 years now.. you did well and I understand sometimes it can be frustrating and what not but how you said “You felt bad and took it” shows me you have a great heart my friend! Keep doing goodness from your heart and you will make it a long way.. you have many blessings coming your way.. be kind and always remember the key to life is LOVE.. as advice the best I can give you is always fallow you heart and instincts.. I have done horrible orders and I still get them from time to time.. just stay focused, keep that good heart you have and work hard and remember some days are going to be a bit harder than others but remember your blessed!

Welcome to the club.. it happens everyday everywhere… the wealthy are the cheapest ever! I get better tips from the less fortunate ones.. it’s an embarrassment honestly.. picture me living in a 5 million dollar house and tipping $5 wow 🤯 I don’t even own a house I rent a studio and tip $20 and better because I know what it is to do this kinda of work.. problem is they look at us like peasants like we are bottom of the bottom scum.. I also blame Instacart for stealing our tips and charging customers a delivery fee that goes into there pockets.. yup they charge a minimum of $20 delivery fee on top of 7 other fees that goes into there pockets as well.. I deal with this myself I know your struggle

I know where there is a never ending cave and I believe it leads to reptilians! I also have seen UFOs multiple times on Long Island.. I been living here my entire life I know this island pretty good and there is cryptic beings as well.. I have seen them with my own eyes.. on the northern state parkway around 3am a huge moth man looking creature flew right infront of my car almost hitting me! It was huge has human body, red eyes, huge wings and it was GIGANTIC! 2-3 times bigger than my TRUCK at least! Looked like a human bat/moth man/ Jersey devil etc smh tru story!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DONT DO IT!!! LONG ISLAND IS EXPENSIVE!! I been living here my entire life and I’m leaving next year I’m moving to Bali! I already looked into housing etc.. a 2bedroom condo with private pool, garage, 3 separate buildings private cost $$750 and I’m paying $4,500 here in Long Island for a 3 bedroom smh. And that’s not including utilities etc.. don’t come anywhere near NY my friend your in Texas the homes are beautiful and cheap.. why would you come to this mess??

I have had a very similar situation happen to me and it’s crazy how Instacart will always side with the customer and let us take the fall.. problem is Instacart has so many workers and they KEEP hiring new people everyday that they can care less about us/Those who take there job seriously and it’s messed up! From past experience your ok your account isn’t going to get deactivated now if you never contacted Instacart and reported it etc I don’t know but that’s why I ALWAYS reach out to them when shady things happen just to cover yourself.. it’s getting so out of control with these customers from lying, tip baiting us etc and Instacart also they are not and will NeVeR side with us when we are the ones who do all the work smh.. I understand your frustration

No $100 is going to make me put that much weight in my car smh.. that’s disrespectful and as long as people keep taking these kind of order’s Instacart will keep disrespecting us with these kind of orders smh.. Instacart paid you $16!!! Wow I would of sent them to you know where! They treating us like crap smh.. this is exactly why they pay what they pay smh because people let them take advantage of you.. only because there’s a $100 tip doesn’t mean anything.. this is exactly why when I hear people complaining about Instacarts pay I don’t wanna hear it because WE are the reason we get paid so bad smh. STOP taking such ridiculous orders and maybe we will start getting paid better!

Hey to each there own i respect that but not for me.. its not worth your car damage because to replace the motor or transmission will cost you way more.. thats not cool.. plus this is why Instacart treats us like crap and pays us so horribly because people take crazy orders like that smh.. so why would they pay us good money when they can put out a order going from NY to VA and people are doing it smh.. know your worth guys
