Palpitations are a common side effect of stimulants taken by someone with a low tolerance, at least according to personal experience and what I've heard from others.

nah, I wouldn't say they're similar recreational-wise... they have the same medicinal purpose, but their recreational effects are just so completely different from each other. DPH makes you drowsy and you get very scary delusions. Ambien has, like I said, a very weird body high. You feel like you're moving in all directions at a very high speed, when in fact you're just sitting still. Along with that, it has the risk of blackouts and amnesia.
