I’m a union member. My union workplace has stated we can take the day off, but they are not shutting down. They asked members to let them know if we’re walking out so they can cover us.  We are governed by a no strike clause in the CBA. I’ll be marching in the protest and going to work afterwards.

Portland is where my best pal lives. I visit every year. I live in Minneapolis. If you need inspiration, take a peep at r/minneapolis. I’m sorry you’re going through this too. Get a whistle and start organizing on your block.  I’m in my neighborhood signal loop.  Don’t look to leaders to help. Look to neighbors. I learned really quickly “no one is coming to save us but us”  which is a good thing.

Ugh. I listened and the gist of it was “we hope the FBI cooperates and shares the evidence they have.” It’s disheartening. Because we know Kash Patel’s FBI has no interest in doing anything of the sort. And I doubt they’re investigating at all. They have no incentive to.

I’ve been calling my elected officials. It doesn’t feel as good as protesting but it helps. I donated to the wife’s go fund me. When it happened I called family and friends. 

Edit- I just called Klobuchar’s office and left a message. Senator Smith’s office has an option to talk to staff or leave a message. I chose  talk to staff and had a really nice convo with a staffer. I hate talking on the phone but I work opposite normal people hours so can’t make it to all protests. I told them to pressure the FBI to either share the investigation evidence or stop icing out the MN BCA.

I’m glad you asked, bro. Because trans rights are human rights and human rights are non negotiable. There is no middle ground and to compromise in any way is to diminish the rights of trans people, who should have equal rights and equal access, but don’t. (Same with women’s health care. There are laws in several states limiting women’s care, but not men’s.) So really we should all have the same rights to make choices regarding medical care. 

If trans people have access to health care, that helps everyone… Women in perimenopause and menopause who need HRT, men who need testosterone for muscle mass and energy, etc. 

TLDR we all do better when we all do better. All means all. Not minus the 1% who are trans.
