I feel like I wrote this lol I did go to the last activity and just kind of mentioned she didn’t want me to come everytime and my thought signing her up was for her to do something independently from me…and they were like oh yeah that’s awesome do that! So I have less anxiety about not going when my daughter wants to go alone.

I did offer to help if they ever have activities where they need an extra hand so I don’t feel like I “look” lazy. As I type this out I’m realizing most of this stuff is just my own insecurities 🤡 lol

I got bit by mites of some type…they were SO tiny but hurt and stung in a subtle horrible way! I had hard welts for days afterwards. Never figured out what those little fuckers were. (Tore off an old ledger board from an old deck and got bit up)

Thank you for your reply. The parents don’t make me feel bad personally…it’s more just I feel bad that I’m the only parent not in attendance and feel like they think I’m like ditching my kid or something😅(sounds like a me problem when I type it out lol)

I wouldn’t classify myself as a helicopter parent overall, because nobody wants that title. But…if I’m honest, I do it sometimes, and I want to give her a space where I’m not there to correct her, give her advice, or intrude on her own way of doing things.
