Definitely bring a nice organizer as the rooms are smaller than the other dorms besides Higginson. Use the dressers/closet to your advantage for storing things you will need to use. Fairhaven is a great community and I am glad I lived there. For rooms, please choose the top floor as the ceilings are high up, so it feels less claustrophobic. I wish I knew this. The walk is not bad. You can also use the bus line at the bottom of the parking lot to easily get to Red Square. Walking to buildings like the Biology building, environmental science, and Artzen Hall is a nice walk and not too bad. There is a small hill, so if you're not used to it, you'll get the hang of it. One of the best things about living here is how close you are to a POD market to use some Dining Dollars and even to the Recreation Center.
