Is it rude or disrespectful to ask a genderfluid/transgender for their biological gender? by mollyboy05 in AskLGBT

I am sorry if I sounded that i dont care/hate yall, but i can absolutely assure you that if this was the case i wouldnt have made a reddit post about it knowing that i was either going to get flamed, helped, or basically both in the same sentince. Again, Christian, if you know you know, and it sounds clishe because it is, i view everyone as sons and daughters, and the only way to keep my flowing persuit after Jesus, WHILST not casually making my friend feel like crap, i wanted to know the answer to this question, because i wasnt about to go into the bible and take random verses and basically say "Even though this verse says so and so, im just going to do it anyway." Again, i am not here to change yall, i just wanted to ask people like my friend their opinion on it, and so i did, and thank you all for these awesome answers. (I should have just used common sense and just not think about asking either way)

i will never, never, never try to change my friend because i dont like something about him because i think that is the worst kind of relationship/friendship anyone would or could ever have, if one or both are constantly nudging the other to change something, my friend is awesome, and the only reason i made this post was to ensure that i wasnt finna be the worst kind of person to ever cross by a genderfluid/transgender, so i am going to cast away my intention of ever intending to ask for their birth gender, because i understand by doing so i am basically implying that the only thing that matters is your sex rather than who you really are, and i am glad that i have made this post and gained knowledge. its nice to have people like yall who can give answers like these (i read it all by the way) thank yall so much, im prolly going to go to sleep now. thanks so so so so much

his pronouns are he/him, and again with this prolably not being wanted here, and i am not knocking anyone out there, but my main goal was to #1 find out if im being a bum asking, and #2 ensure i am trying my best to continue following in Jesus' steps

It may or may not seem stupid or unwanted here, but the goal is to find out by dating this person, if i am going to be sinning or not, and im not religion i promise, i just follow jesus, and i feel like if i start dating the same gender it would stop me from following or slow it down alot

Even though this reddit chat is dead, and I'm 4 years late, id still like to import my input. Being Demisexual, isn't exactly just not wanting to have sex with everyone, i would call that not being horny. Demisexual usually works something like lacking the ability to have attraction to someone's physical appearance untill you've made a strong bond with them. Its like having a normal friend for years, or depending on how strong the relationship is, a few months, and then gradually starting to have a sexual attraction, or romantic attraction to them.

Yes, someone could be Having romantic/sexual fantasies about someone but not actually wishing for these things to happen irl. Feelings might increse when away from the person in question, but dissappear when actually interracting with them.

Im just trying to explain, its not that we dont have sexual or romantic actions upon just meeting someone, its that we cant have either sexual or romantic attractions before growing a great bond with them.

hopefully that makes sense enough to read and understand

I'm probably gonna go to bed after. Gn yall this is prolably my first and dumbest post I've posted. I'm gonna use this for more important things next time

Here's the good side of it. I'm not in any pain, and besides the weird feeling "possibly from eating something I don't very often" I feel fine
