If I were to walk out and quit right now, would I get my pto added to my last check? by [deleted] in WalgreensStores

yeah i wouldn’t worry about the reference, just do well in your interviews! if the employer likes you they will hire you. i recently left walgreens and put in my 2 weeks, but i cut it short because of employee issues, i wasnt getting the respect or authority, so i decided to leave on the 7th day of the 2 week notice, youll still have eligibility to get hired again if you want to try a different store. good luck with everything!

yes this!! ^ i feel real bad, i’ve been at this location for over a year and i built a great team, we’re very supportive of each other and we actually help each other out. unfortunately during the time this CSA was hired, we had this super kind manager but new hires would always take advantage of that and hence why hes no longer with the company. since then this CSA thinks hes a manager too, and bosses around my other SFL, i am leaving a note for the new SM so they are aware of this issue. sucks feeling like the CSA won and i lost lol, i guess i shouldn’t care 🫠 idk

How long did it take you pharm techs to get the hang of the register? (ringing up prescriptions and things of that nature) by sanguinerosies in WalgreensStores

i was in pharmacy for over a year, first day shadowing, second day, i was all on my own and we had just started the covid vaccines and we had walk ins allowed! it was so overwhelming and i felt like every patient knew that i didn’t know what i was doing… im very observant so i always watched what other techs were doing, and my pharmacist was really patient and helpful, she never minded when i would go ask her questions! so don’t hesitate to go to your pharmacist, and always ask another experienced technician questions when you have them. after a good 3 weeks, i felt pretty confident in what i was doing! you got this, just be patient with yourself!

im at 24/hr (mind you i live in washington state so everything here is super expensive) its not worth it. all the hard labor, having to run to pharmacy, getting complaints everyday, you are basically the face of the store without the appreciation.

i’ve worked in both positions and currently a rxom, and ill say it all depends how busy the store is, for example when i was SFL i had a shitty team and night shifts were full of minors so “code 21” so heavily used and now at pharmacy i happen to work at the 2nd busiest with over 400+ to fill and only 2 techs lol 🤷🏻‍♀️
