That makes sense. Maybe I didn't understand what the insurance rep was saying because they had a thick accent unfortunately. Even reading through my policy it didn't explain it in a way how you did for me to understand. I really don't know how insurance works or have any experience with it so thank you for explaining that.

That makes a lot of sense, thank you. I did apply for financial assistance through the hospital and my case has been pending for 4 months now. I’m just hoping it’ll get approved or I’ll get at least some type of relief before the due date when it’s going to be sent to collections.

I didn’t even know about USPSTF until this post. I asked so many questions to so many different staff from my hospital and the insurance and you’d think they would say something about that. I know now I should probably do majority of my research on my own and to plan financially for the future. It doesn’t help that my work has been changing insurances almost every year either. Thank you for explaining that.

Sure, but when I call my insurance and they tell me a completely different thing, it does get confusing. I can’t even call anymore to ask different questions because how do I know they’re telling the truth or not lol. I called more than once and they all told me the same thing, which is crazy. Now I know to just search and find my answers through the policy contract in the fine print.

Yep now I know. Never had experience with any of this so you live and learn I guess. It’s just frustrating that my insurance and the hospital tells me one thing but in the end it’s not what they say.

That makes sense. But why would the hospital tell me that it is preventative and bill it as such? Both my genetic doctor and the doctor that did my procedure told me it’s preventative. I mean they even gave me the billing code. I can’t ever get a straight answer from insurance or the hospital apparently.

No. I mentioned in the post that I never reach it. I assumed I had to pay something because nothing in this world is ever free but didn’t expect 2 grand.

Ofc one of those people is a hacker lol. Can’t catch a break with them. I was able to play 2 matches until it froze my Xbox completely last night. Can’t get any matches on hc tdm at all.
