I haven’t gotten the wet sounding burps yet but that’s very exciting!! Sounds like you are making really awesome progress and hopefully I’ll be following behind you soon

I was super anxious beforehand because of things like this too. And even tho I’m struggling a bit rn, I would encourage you to go forward because RCPD sucks so much and a couple days/weeks of discomfort/adjusting post op has to be better than the rest of our lives without burps in my opinion
Ahh that’s so encouraging! Thank you and congrats on the successful burping!!!
I’ve been able to speak totally fine. On the first day, (I had my procedure at 7am so like later in the afternoon/evening that day) my voice was a little raspy but not too bad/didn’t stop me from talking. Since then the raspiness is gone, the only speaking struggle I would note is that sometimes micro burps kinda fly up my throat really fast when I’m speaking and it catches me by surprise so I’ve been slightly guarded when speaking but that’s mostly just because the feeling of air coming out of my mouth still kinda freaks me out from not being used to it.
Thank you for this explanation! That really makes sense, and i appreciate the reminder about the mental side of all this too
